Susquehanna Transfer |
Description: |
A southbound CSX K682 runs south on the Northern Branch through what at one time was the Susquehanna Transfer station between the Erie Railroad's Northern Branch and the New York Susquehanna & Western. Luck would have it that a Susquehanna Trailways bus was driving by overhead on the NJ-495 viaduct. |

Canadian Color on a Cloudy Day |
Description: |
A drab spring morning on Easter Sunday was briefly illuminated with the bright colors of a Canadian National visitor arriving at CSXs South Kearny yard. The train is crossing the Hackensack River at the PRR-built Hack Bridge between Jersey City and South Kearny. Its sister bridge of the same name dominates the background and is today owned and operated by the PATH. During the PRR years both of these bridges were controlled by the same operator. |
